SensiLab is a creative technology research laboratory at Monash University whose work ‘explores the untapped potential of technology, its impacts on society and the possibilities it presents’.

In my role as Senior Coordinator of Engagement I was responsible for activities that built on-going conversations about technology, its social impact, and ethical implications with diverse audiences.

I developed strategic framework to underpin SensiLab’s approach to audience development and reputation management and have begun to deliver activities that enhance the impact of SensiLab projects and raise awareness of the brand. Year 1 of the engagement strategy had a number of quantitative and qualitative KPIs. Among other targets, it aimed to engage 5,000 people through a series of workshops, talks and high-profile events, grow social media following to specific figures whilst maintaining good engagement rates, and spark discussion around the possibilities of creative technology. Through effective project management, implementation of professional development and education for the research group, and through brokering collaborations, these KPIs were exceeded.
